Individually Handmade
When DCUK discovered the Indian Runner Duck, DCUK got to know a culture rich in stories and craftsmanship. The tradition of puppetry is deeply rooted in Indonesia, where generations of sculptors and artists have carved expressive figures from humble bamboo roots. DCUK works with artisans in Indonesia, providing families and communities with stability and confidence. A partnership that means that local creative skills continue to be valued and appreciated.
Environmentally Conscious
Each DCUK piece is hand-carved, using locally harvested bamboo sections that would otherwise be lost. Bamboo root is not only an eco-friendly material, but its distinctive grain gives the ducks a beautiful texture.
