"When I carved this figure, I was influenced by the poses of classical sculptures, where the line of the shoulders is in opposition to the hips, or contrapposto. I wanted the gesture to involve the whole body - 360 degrees. No matter how the viewer turns the figure, movement and life are expressed." - Susan Lordi.
