Description
Willow Tree is an intimate series of figurative sculptures that depict feelings such as love, closeness, healing, courage, hope... all the emotions we encounter in life. "I thought about metaphors of quilts. It is largely about protection. A quilt gives us a sense of security and warmth. The rows of even stitches show the passage of time, a meditative rhythm – like soothing and rocking a child. That takes time and patience. I wanted the quilt and the rocking to form a unity... The warmth and coziness of a sleeping child – the tender connection – these quiet memories exist in everyone who has ever rocked a child in their arms."- Susan Lordi. The item is made of stone resin and hand-painted with lead-free paint. It comes in a gift box with a trademark and a gift tag that reads 'Sleep my child and peace... peace... Wrapped in love and keep... keep...'. Not a toy or product for children. For adults only.
