INSPIRATION
Dumbo is the fourth full-length animated film by Walt Disney Pictures. Based on the children's book of the same name by Helen Aberson and illustrated by Harold Pearl, Dumbo was produced by Walt Disney and released on October 23, 1941, by RKO Radio Pictures.
The main character is Jumbo Jr., an anthropomorphic elephant who is cruelly nicknamed Dumbo and teased because of his huge ears, although it is later discovered that he can use them to fly. His only friend is Timothy, a small mouse, a parody of elephants' supposed fear of mice. With a runtime of 64 minutes, it is one of the shortest Disney animated films.
